The main purpose of the gathering is to create a space in which to share and compare diverse experiences in the area of Caribbean Education in the different countries of the region. We will focus on crucial educational issues such as history, curriculum development, the impacts of regionalization and globalization on education, standards, teachers’ training, educational management, innovation in education, devices and technological resources applied to education, development of citizenship values, intercultural aspects of education and the development of alternative educational models of management in order to improve school functioning, their links to society and to the state or federal system in charge of their conduction and administration, policy making, concrete examples, constitutional affairs, religious education, sociology and psychology of education, colonial and post-colonial critique etc.
